It is other worldly, and you are breathing like Darth Vader, conscious of every exhale. The salt wasn’t as bad as I had remembered either; I really don’t mind a gulp of cool Pacific at all. I saw a lobster for the first time outside of a tank and void of a devouring doom. The calm and green and lightness of it all put my soul at ease, while the tide gently eased me into the kelp.
